They haven't revealed anything specific yet, but we have high hopes for a strong new title.
Hardcore 'Mega Man' fans are pissed. After a pretty sweet run with 'Mega Man 9' and 'Mega Man 10,' the series just stopped. 'Mega Man Legends 3,' which took and implemented input from fans, was cancelled. 'Mega Man Universe' met the same fate. Mega Man didn't even get a place in 'Marvel vs. Capcom 3.'
This lack of love for Mega has inspired forum rage, petitions and even a sweet song from Mega Ran. The cries aren't lost on Capcom, as VP Christian Svensson will attest. He says that Capcom is working to appease the fans but says it's not going to happen overnight. "Product cycles are long and it'll be a little while until fans can see the light at the end of the tunnel."
"The last thing I want to do," says Svensson, "is prematurely announce something in the name of sating the fans that gets cancelled or redirected late." He knows that cancelling yet another project that fans are getting excited about will only cause more trouble.
Svensson says that there's nothing that he can announce right now, that "top men" are working on it.
