Fox has officially announced 'Point Break' for Bu-ray, which will hit high-def this July in a "Pure Adrenalin Edition" with extensive bonus features.
As we've previously reported, Fox alerted retailers to a July 1 Blu-ray bow for the Keanu Reeves-Patrick Swayze action hit, though the studio provided only preliminary specs.
The full media release has now been issued, and the Blu-ray will share all the same extras as the previous 2006 DVD special edition, including four making-of featurettes ( "It's Make Or Break," "Ride The Wave," "Adrenaline Junkies," "On Location: Malibu"), 8 deleted scenes, a still gallery, and 3 theatrical trailers.
Tech specs for the BD-50 dual-layer presentation enjoy 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video, a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track (48kHz/16-bit), and additional Dolby Digital and subtitle offerings in English, French, and Spanish.
Finally, Fox has unveiled the Blu-ray box art for 'Point Break,' which offers a new take on the film's original theatrical key art:
As previously announced, Fox has set a suggested retail price of $39.99 for the Blu-ray.
You'll find the specs for 'Point Break' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under July 1.
