Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is offering Blu-ray fans an exclusive sneak peek at 'Spider-Man 3' days ahead of its May 4 theatrical launch, via a new sampler disc available only at Best Buy.
Officially kicking off this past Sunday and continuing only while supplies last, Best Buy customers will receive a free Blu-ray 'Spider-Man 3' sampler disc with the purchase of any other Blu-ray software or hardware product.
The disc includes exclusive 'Spider-Man 3' trailers and clips, and is the first-ever high-def peek at one of the most highly-awaited franchises to hit either next-gen format.
Though Sony has long included clips from the 'Spider-Man' films in teaser spots on its Blu-ray disc releases as well as its print marketing campaigns, a firm domestic release date for the trilogy has remained elusive.
The closest Spidey fans have come was a hint in a recent Sony print ad in the French DVD version of 'Spider-man 2.1,' which touted a November 2 date for 'Spider-Man 3' on Blu-ray.
In the meantime, we're eager to check out the 'Spider-Man 3' Blu-ray sampler, and will give you a look at its contents soon. It's sure to only whet our appetites for the full Spidey franchise in high-def.
Stay tuned, webslingers!
