The new rating should put an end to games being banned from the country.
Australian gamers have had a bit of a problem. Thanks to a lack of an a rating designating games as for adults specifically, games have been censored or even banned from entering the country to ensure that kids didn't play them. As of today, it looks like things are going to change.
The Australian Federal Parliament has finally agreed upon an R18+ rating for games that are solely to be played by adults. The rating should help ensure that games like 'Left 4 Dead 2,' 'Grand Theft Auto,' and 'Blitz: The League' aren't banned from Australian shores in the future.
