'Splinter Cell' joins 'Assassin's Creed' as likely to be distributed by Fox.
Variety is reporting that both of Ubisoft's game-to-film adaptations, 'Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell' with Tom Hardy and 'Assassin's Creed' with Michael Fassbender will by produced by New Regency.
New Regency has twenty years of production experience running the gamut from 'Empire Records' to 'The Devil's Advocate' and even 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith.'
New Regency productions are currently distributed by Fox, making it the likely distributor for the two films.
