It'll be hitting stores on May 6th – other online retailers have not been announced.
It seemed for a little while that Blu-ray players had reached their final form – 3D capable playback devices chock full of online streaming features – but Sony's new BDP-S790 adds something new. In addition to everything else you've come to expect, Sony's flagship player offers 4K upscaling for the day you get your hands on a 4K display.
The BDP-S790 also offers 16 bit video processing, noise reduction for streaming and digital content, built-in Wi-Fi and even dual HDMI outputs. It packs a dual-core processor and is, of course, 3D capable.
You can pick up the BDP-S790 on the Sony Store now for $249. You'll be able to pick it up in stores on May 6th.
