They all handle 3D, and they're all available at under $500.

The newest line of receivers from Sony embraces the company's 3D mindset. Starting at $230, all of Sony's new receivers are capable of dealing with 3D content at an entry-level price.

The STR-DH520 is the baseline model. It comes out this month for a price of $230 and it offers the basics: 7.1 channel audio, 3D pass-through, four HDI inputs and Advanced Auto Volume.

Sony's DH720 is a step up that adds HD Digital Cinema Sound and standby pass-through of audio and video via HDMI. It also introduces upscaling of analog inputs to 1080i. You can pick it up this month for $300.

A step up further from that is the DH820, which ups the channels to 7.2 so you can add a second subwoofer to the mix. It boasts IR in and out, an advanced user interface, Sony's DCAC , DLL sound processing and an included iPhone/iPod dock. Sony says it's going to run about $400 when it's available later this month.

The STR-DN1020 is the flagship receiver and it introduces features like a second zone for audio and video, 1080p upscaling, and the ability to access streaming music services. It's hitting in May for around $500.
