It would have made the perfect stocking stuffer, but Lionsgate will instead release the gory
horror flick 'The Descent'
on Blu-ray just after the holidays.
Due in stores day-and-date with the standard DVD release on December 26, the $25 million-grossing sleeper will be featured in a new 99-minute Original Unrated Cut.
No technical specs are yet available, though the disc is expected to have most (if not all) of the bonus features on its DVD counterpart, including commentary and multiple making-of featurettes.
Lionsgate has set a $39.95 retail price for the Blu-ray version.
We'll keep you posted as soon as full details come in, and in the meantime
we've added a listing for 'The Descent' to our complete Blu-ray
Release Schedule. Stay tuned!
