Though a U.S. date is still to be announced, Microsoft unveiled launch
plans and pricing for the Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on at the Tokyo Game Show.
According to IGN, among the details unveiled at the expo for the much-anticipated device are a November 22 launch date in Japan with a street price of 19,800 yen (about $170US, though that's not the official domestic price).
Microsoft also says a software upgrade will be made available for the Xbox 360 later this fall that includes full 1080p support.
Though the company remains mum on the add-on's launch plans for the U.S., Microsoft has repeatedly pledged that the device will hit these shores by the end of the year. So we expect a release date to be announced in the next few weeks, and given this latest news, a retail price of around $200US seems likely. Stay tuned...
