The 2001-2002 season of the planet's favorite animated family hitting high-definition this August has been fully detailed!
As previously reported, 20th Century Fox is prepping 'The Simpsons: The Complete Thirteenth Season' for a Blu-ray bow on August 24.
The 3-disc set will present all 22 episodes with 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack, and supplements will include: Audio commentaries on every episode featuring executive producers, writers, directors, cast and notable guest stars on select episodes including Stan Lee, Joe Mantegna, Delroy Lindo, Robert Pinsky and others; Deleted scenes; A Token from Matt Groening; Ralphisms; The People Ball; The 13th Crewman; Blame It On The Monkeys; The Games; The Sweet Life of Ralph; Animation Showcases for episodes "The Parent Rap" and "Sweet & Sour Marge"; Sketch Galleries; Commercials; Special Language Feature: and Easter Eggs.
"Specially created menus" will also be found only on the Blu-ray set with exclusive animation not available on the DVD.
In addition and for the first time ever, fans will be able to purchase the limited edition molded head (Ralph Wiggum) DVD more than a month early at the Fox Booth #4313 at San Diego Comic-Con International between July 22 and July 25. As an added bonus, they will also receive a collectible limited edition lithograph as a gift-with-purchase.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray set is $59.99.
