New Blu-ray Date Set for 'Amityville Horror'

After a year-long delay, MGM/Fox has set a new October street date for the Blu-ray release of 'The Amityville Horror.'
Originally announced for Blu-ray release back in 2007, MGM unceremoniously bumped the classic James Brolin-Margot Kidder chiller from its next-gen schedule, citing "marketing reasons" for the delay.
The studio has now rescheduled 'The Amityville Horror' for October 7, to tie in with a Halloween-themed Blu-ray horror promotion that also includes the recently-announced 'Carrie' and 'Young Frankenstein.'
At press time, MGM had not announced any revised features or specs.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray remains $39.98.
As always, you'll find the latest specs for 'The Amityville Horror' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under its new date of October 7.
