Sony has announced plans to bring an unrated version of the teen horror hit 'Prom Night' to Blu-ray this August with extensive Bonus View and BD-Live exclusive features.
A remake of the cult 1980 slasher flick, 'Prom Night' scared up over $40 million at the domestic box office this past Spring. Sony will debut the Brittany Snow-starrer on August 19, day-and-date with the standard DVD.

Extras shared across both versions include audio commentary with director Nelson McCormick and cast, deleted scenes and alternate ending (with optional commentary), and a suite of five featurettes ("Bridgeport High Vikings Video Yearbook," "A Night To Remember: The Making of Prom Night," "Profile of a Killer," "Gothic Spaces: Creating the Pacific Grand Hotel," "Prom Night Photo Album: Real Prom Stories From the Cast").
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be a Bonus View (Profile 1.1)-enabled picture-in-picture storyboard track, as well as a BD-Live polling feature dubbed "Where is the Best Place to Hide a Body?"
Presented in its unrated form with footage not found in the PG-13 theatrical cut, tech specs include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
Sony has set a suggested list price of $38.95 for the Blu-ray.
