HDNet, the leading broadcast network of original high-definition programming, will debut its first four HD DVD disc titles next week exclusively via its online web store.

Due to begin shipping this week are collections of the popular HDNet original travel show 'The Best of GetOut! Volume 1' and 'The Best of GetOut! Volume 2,' and the first two installments of the award-winning long-form news documentary series 'The Best of HDNet World Report Volume 1' and 'The Best of HDNet World Report Volume 2.'

Shot in native 1920x1080 high-definition video, all HDNet HD DVD releases are presented in 1080i with Dolby Digital surround tracks. There are no extras included, and retail is $14.95 each.

Though the network expects major online retailers including Amazon to begin carrying their HD DVD titles, these first four releases are currently available exclusively via HDNet's online webstore.

The network also plans to release upwards of 100 titles from its catalog of original high-definition programming in the coming months and years. Upcoming titles announced by HDNet for future release include the first two volumes in the 'The Best Of Bikini Destinations' series, 'The Best Of True Music,' 'World Extreme Cagefighting' and 'World Music Cafe.'

HDNet has not currently announced support for Blu-ray.

The latest details for all titles including cover art, have been added to our complete HD DVD Release Schedule.
