Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure (Wii U, 3DS)

DC powers unite! ‘Scribblenauts Unmasked‘ combines the cute, draw-whatever gameplay of past installments with the DC Comics universe. The lack of hype for this game is somewhat surprising considering that it’s a DC tie-in, but this seems like a perfect way for anyone to get into the series.

FIFA 14 (360, PS3, PC, PS Vita, 3DS)

While the ‘FIFA’ series has a strong US following, it truly rules the game world abroad. ‘FIFA 14‘ is a bit of an off year, if only because the upcoming Xbox One and PS4 versions required a restrained focus. Both the 3DS and Vita versions are billed as ‘FIFA 13’ with updated rosters.

PES 2014 (360, PS3)

Unlike ‘FIFA 14’, ‘PES 2014‘ is only coming to current gen systems. However, it’s doing so with the new FOX Engine, which also underpins the powerhouse ‘Metal Gear Solid V’. A PC version seems likely, but no date has yet been given.

Armored Core: Verdict Day (360, PS3)

Surprise surprise, there’s a new ‘Armored Core’. Hopefully, with ‘Armored Core: Verdict Day‘, more people will play online than did ‘Armored Core 5’. Fortunately, owners of ‘Armored Core 5’ can import their save files.
