Poll: Fall 2014 Returning TV Shows

In last week’s poll, we asked you which of this fall’s new TV shows you planned to check out. Let’s follow that up with a look at all the returning shows coming back for another round this season. Which old favorites will you continue to watch this year, and which have you dropped?

I’ve attempted to compile a list of all the scripted dramas and comedies returning for a second or higher season this fall. This list does not include any first season series (covered last week) or Reality shows. If I’ve missed anything you watch, please let me know, but keep in mind that I may have intentionally excluded a few shows that aired the majority of their episodes during the summer season and only have a few episodes that overlap with the fall.

I’m back on board for more of the following: ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’, ‘American Horror Story’, ‘The Blacklist’, ‘Castle’, ‘Grimm’, ‘Haven’, ‘The League’ and ‘The Walking Dead’.

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ already feels more like an obligation than something I truly enjoy, and I’m not terribly impressed with the new amnesia storyline on ‘Castle’ this year. However, I’m very hopeful for the new seasons of ‘American Horror Story’ and ‘The Walking Dead’.

    Bob’s Burgers
    Brooklyn 99
    Walking Dead
    Originals (might quit)
    New Girl
    and SNL

We have a new baby, so I cut a TON of shows that we used to watch.

  2. Voted Walking Dead # 1. Hopefully this season of American Horror will be better than last season. Looks promising. I’ve been debating about The Killing for the last year or so. Maybe I’ll get around to it someday…

Every year we get suckered into watch American Horror…..and every year it starts off strong, and turns into a complete mess of a show by the end. I’m not getting suckered into watching this time. I’ll wait until the season is over, and give it a go if I hear it actually ended up good

      • Agree with you on all but the third season, that one never really hooked me from the get-go, although there were little bits of greatness sprinkled throughout the season. Hopefully it can only go up from that point. I’m pretty stoked about tonight, so is the Mrs.

  3. There are some shows I’ll catch up with on Blu-ray, like The Blacklist, while others I DVR during the week, like Homeland and Modern Family.

About the only returning show I’m watching “live” is The Walking Dead.

It’s not for lack of interest…I just don’t have the time anymore to keep up with all the shows I’d like to.

Blacklist, Brooklyn Nine Nine, New Girl, Franklin and Bash (more people should watch this), and Bob’s Burgers.

Despite my love of Fillion, I’ve given up on Castle. Also given up on Modern Family.

I’m a bit excited for The Walking Dead now that they’ve finally left that boring-ass prison. I’m cautiously optimistic about the new season…

  6. William Henley

I am on board with Doctor Who, Family Guy, Simpsons, Once Upon a Time, and Sleepy Hollow.

Shows not on the list include Adventure Time, Clarence and The Amazing World of Gumball.

As far as reality shows (which I know this poll doesn’t include, but I am including it as a conversation piece), I am on board with XFactor UK (so glad they are starting to import the British shows to the US), Dance Moms (actually, they are hitting their season finalle this week) and the other Abby Lee Miller shows, 19 Kids and Counting, Pawn Stars, and Anthony Bourdain.

Also pretty much any Science and History documentary I can get my hands on.
