After last week’s major content switch (more titles were added to my queue than were dropped), it’s refreshing to see a week where nothing of value is lost from Netflix streaming. That is, unless you’re really into mediocrity.
Gulliver’s Travels (1/12)
Who needs Jack Black when you’ve got Ted Danson? Admittedly, this version of ‘Gulliver’s Travels‘ may not be a huge improvement, but it does have Danson (who has gotten much more tolerable thanks to ‘Bored to Death’) and Mary Steenburgen (who has become a favorite of mine in recent years).
Tin Man (1/12)
No one’s going to call out ‘Tin Man‘ as a masterpiece. In fact, most folks seem disappointed by the miniseries. Despite poor reviews, a cast featuring Zooey Deschanel and Richard Dreyfuss is nothing to sneeze at. If you’ve got the time, it might be worth the watch.
5ive Girls (1/11)
Here we have some run-of-the-mill horror that seems to be cashing in far too late on the press from ‘The Craft’. It’s low budget and a little crappy, but ‘5ive Girls‘ stars Ron Perlman, some cute girls and some demons. Not a bad setup if you’re in the mood for a few cheap scares.

If I remember right, that Guliver’s Travels also has Warwick Davis in it. I think I got it on VHS somewhere (previously viewed Blockbuster tapes).
Farscape is back in my que! Oh happy day! I need to see what else is back – I think I lost Legend of the Seeker a few weeks / months ago, and would really like to finish up season 2. Hope its back.
About all I have been watching lately, though, is Futurama, American Dad, Married With Children, and Dick Van Dyke, although I did find a little movie the other day called Strategic Air Command that was shot here. The building I work in, my old church, and my house can easily be seen in this movie.
