Poll: Which Fall 2015 New TV Shows Interest You?

A few of the fall TV season’s new shows have already premiered, but this week brings the first truly big push. Which new dramas and comedies have caught your attention?

In the poll below, I’ve done my best to compile a list of the fall’s new dramas and comedies. The list does not include Reality shows or returning series. It’s very possible that I may have missed something notable. If so, please vote “Other” and mention it in the Comments.

I reviewed the premiere of FX’s ‘The Bastard Executioner‘ last week, and it was basically a huge bust. I hope the season brings us better viewing than that. I’m writing this post in advance of a couple of shows (‘Blindspot’ and ‘Minority Report’) that debuted Monday night. I’ll try to put some thoughts together on those later in the week.

Of the other options, I try to remain cautiously optimistic, but at the moment here’s how I expect them to sort out:

Shows I hope are good: ‘The Muppets’, ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’, ‘Scream Queens’, ‘Supergirl’, ‘Agent X’.

Shows I don’t have very high hopes for, but maybe they’ll surprise me: ‘Blindspot’, ‘Minority Report’, ‘The Player’, ‘Quantico’.

Show I fully expect to suck: ‘Heroes Reborn’, ‘Limitless’, ‘Rosewood’.

I doubt that I’ll watch any of the others. How about you?

I’m really only into watching Ash Vs. Evil dead to be honest. I don’t get the Starz network currently though, gonna call my provider and see how much they’ll gouge me to add a single channel. I may end up waiting for the blu ray, depending on how many episodes are in the season.

The Muppets interested me, until I heard that Fozzie Bear sounds nothing like he did on the original Muppet Show.

Scream Queens looks like it could be a lot of fun, I’m optimistic.

I didn’t care for the original Minority Report movie, so it’s no surprise I shut the show after the first 10 minutes or so.

I’ll give most any of these new comic book based shows a shot, as some are very good (Daredevil, Arrow, Agents of Shield) so I’ll be checking out Agent X and maybe Supergirl.

Ash Vs Evil dead, I’ll watch, but I don’t expect it to live up to the films.

Limitless looks like, basically, the same slightly sci-fi crime drama that is Minority Report…I guess we will be seeing more and more (relatively) popular sci-fi movies turned into TV series (following in the footsteps of 12 Monkeys).

The Bastard Executioner…Ill give it a shot. I don’t expect it to be anywhere near the level of SoA, but it could be a fun time.

Now…the big one…Heroes Reborn. I’ll be watching this just to find out how Claire and H.R.G. got out from the last scene in the last episode.

I don’t have Starz, but I am interested in Ash vs Evil Dead. I’m not sure that I’ll order it just for that, though. Blindspot seems kind of interesting and I’m on-demanding it as I write this. If I remember, I might check out Scream Queens tonight, but I’m not that excited about it. The same thing goes for Supergirl, I haven’t really seeked out any promotional material for it yet. I still haven’t checked out Bastard Executioner, but I am slightly interested. So many shows to commit to watching, that’s probably the main reason for my lack of excitement to these new ones. Where will I find the time?

ASH VS. EVIL DEAD, SUPERGIRL, and THE MUPPETS for me…although I’ll probably check out HEROES REBORN this week just to see if it’s any good (although, honestly, I still haven’t watched the final season of the original series!).

I have a lot of hope for SUPERGIRL – I’m just hoping CBS doesn’t start playing around with its time slot or give us a big gap between Thanksgiving and New Year’s without any episodes (which kills promising new shows almost every year, yet the networks continue to do it).

I worry about THE MUPPETS…not that it won’t be funny, but that no one will tune in. Kids don’t seem very interested in them, and I wonder if the adult audience will be large enough to sustain a network series.

    Shows I’ll be watching:
    ‘Agent X’ (TNT, Nov. 8)
‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ (Starz, Oct. 31)
‘The Bastard Executioner’ (FX, Sept. 15)
    ‘Blindspot’ (NBC, Sept. 21)
    ‘Heroes Reborn’ (NBC, Sept. 24)
‘Into the Badlands’ (AMC, Nov. 15)
    ‘Limitless’ (CBS, Sept. 22)
    ‘Minority Report’ (Fox, Sept. 21)
    ‘The Muppets’ (ABC, Sept. 22)
    ‘The Player’ (NBC, Sept. 24)
    ‘Quantico’ (ABC, Sept. 27)
    ‘Scream Queens’ (Fox, Sept. 22)
    ‘Supergirl’ (CBS, Oct. 26)

Shows I most want to be great:
    ‘Agent X’ (TNT, Nov. 8)
‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ (Starz, Oct. 31)
‘Into the Badlands’ (AMC, Nov. 15)
    ‘The Player’ (NBC, Sept. 24)

I really want Ash vs. Evil Dead to be good, although I’m not thrilled that each episode is only going to be 30 minutes. Still, I liked the trailer and I’m a huge fan of the original movies so I’m going to drop $10 for a Starz subscription next month to see if it’s any good. Other than, that, I have some mild interest in The Muppets, but I kind of doubt I’ll watch it given that I don’t normally watch TV shows. (In the last decade, the only shows I’ve watched with any regularity were House, Futurama, Sherlock, and Battlestar Galactica.) For me, fall TV just means that football is finally back! 🙂

Only two I voted for were Muppets and Heroes.

Grandfathered sounded interesting just because of John Stamos, but then I saw the commercials, and it looks like its going to suck.

I am wondering if I should finish Heroes before I watch Heroes Reborn. Loved Season one, and only got halfway through Season 2, and then put it off for, well, how long has that been, 8, 9 years now? Might be a record for longest procrastination

I picked more American series than I’ve watched in a long time. What I’m especially glad about is that I won’t be watching anymore of that abomination called How To Get Away With Murder. I can leave it out and my PVR won’t be feeling deprived.

I plan on watching Blindspot and The Player because both shows have the lead alums from Strike Back!

That said, I’ve heard negative reviews of Blindspot, but positive reviews of The Player, which also stars Wesley Snipes.
