More ‘Borderlands’ DLC Heading Your Way

If you’re a ‘Borderlands’ fan, you’ll be glad to know that the General Knoxx expansion wasn’t the end of downloadable content for the game. If you’re not a ‘Borderlands’ fan, then I have nothing to say to you.

A huge library of impressive games came out in 2009, but not a single one beat out ‘Borderlands’ in my book. It combined humor with a few interesting characters and a fantastic design style.

It was also one of the few big games of the year that dropped the pretense of trying to be art or trying to tell a story. ‘Borderlands’ was a fantastic experience from start to finish. In the end, that’s what really matters.

The latest DLC from Gearbox is set to hit this September and sounds amazing. Remember that CL4P-TP unit (also known as Claptrap) that showed up after the end credits of the game and became an Interplanetary Ninja Assassin? Turns out that wasn’t just a throwaway joke. He’s been kicking ass, taking names and leading a robot uprising.

What does all that mean to you? 20 new missions, more loot, new enemies including Claptrap infused variants of existing baddies, more loot, 10 new skill points to play with, more loot and three more backpack slots. Did I mention there’s more loot? Because there’s also more loot.
